Offer: This is an in-plant position with responsibility to ensure the operational availability and functionality of the HTF system. This includes safe, reliable, environmentally compliant, efficient, and economical repair of equipment and the periodic maintenance program through proper planning for the generation of solar heat. Supervision of the planned mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair functions of all equipment including pumps, motors, vessels, valves, HTF Heater,HTF control system etc. Management, coordination and expedititing the planning, procurement, and flow of materials and supplies for maintenance work with the ERP responsible. Ensure that work is performed safely and within procedural compliance. Review routine maintenance requirements to determine what improvement measures are needed for effective and reliable operations. Start: Mai 2010 Duration: 1 Y Tasks: Responsible for all maintenance services necessary to operate and maintain the HTF system, including all associated and appurtenant mechanical and electrical components in order to minimize solar island downtime. • Supervise daily activities of the maintenance staff. • Implement and update an equipment repair and preventive maintenance programme that meets the specifications of the equipment suppliers including equipment failure records. • Establish maintenance manuals and procedures • Ensure that the plant’s maintenance and vendor maintenance and repair manuals are properly filed. • Support the maintenance and operation manager to prepare the annual operation and maintenance plan. • Provide and prepare requisitions for purchase orders for replacement parts, as required. • Prepare correspondence, reports, and records. • Prepare and maintain the solar field maintenance manual. • Responsible for implementation of strategic preventative and predictive maintenance program for the facilities • Monitor the annual budget and tracking monthly. Submit the proposed maintenance budget Requirement: Education: Requires an associate degree in technical field or equivalent Languages: Arabic, English, preferably with German. Experience: • Requires (2 years) maintenance experience at a power plant • Willing to work in Desert areas. This includes observation, control, and keep recordings of the operation of solar island with the solar field and HTF system as main plant sections as well as all auxiliary systems. The solar island operator ensures efficient operation and detects malfunctions as well as that operation is performed safely and within procedural compliance. Start: Mai 2010 Duration: 2 Y Tasks: Monitoring and operation of the Solar Island via the distributed control system as well as a specialized solar field control system. • Ensure that thermal outputs are maintained at maximum levels and efficiencies. • Review routine operation requirements to determine what improvement measures are needed for effective and reliable operations. • Record and compile operational data, completing and maintaining forms, logs, and reports. • Assist in planning and coordinating outage related activities • Report abnormal or emergency plant conditions to the Maintenance and Operation Manager. • Support the maintenance and operation manager to prepare the annual operation and maintenance plan. • Maintain the plant operations manual. • Responsible for all maintenance services necessary to operate and maintain the solar field, including all associated and appurtenant mechanical and electrical components. Requirement: Education: Requires an associate degree in technical field or equivalent Languages: Arabic, English, preferably with German. Experience: • Requires (2 years) experience in control room operation in a power plant • Knowledge of in solar thermal power plant equipment including pumps, motors and other auxiliary equipment as well as Distributed Control System (DCS). • Willing to work in Desert areas. Offer: This is an in-plant position with responsibility for the overall efficiency and performance of the solar island. This includes identifying heat rate gains/losses, communicating those gains/losses to the Plant Manager on a daily and monthly basis and most importantly working with maintenance and operations manager to address problems as they are identified. Other responsibilities include maintaining the performance evaluation software program “PCTrough” by ensuring all the correct calculations and data inputs. Plant optimization as well as necessary performance tests will be executed and planned by the performance manager. Start: Mai 2010 Duration: 2 Y Tasks: • Responsible for conducting engineering analysis and developing recommendations to maintain and improve generating plant efficiency, reliability, safety, environmental compliance and cost performance • Responsible for preparing design calculations, life-cycle costs, and equipment specifications for plant improvement projects • Responsible for implementation of strategic preventative and predictive maintenance program for the facilities • Responsible for driving continuous business improvement through detailed evaluation of plant performance, operating practices and maintenance procedures • Responsible for working with the operations and maintenance manager and providing technical support and direction to contractors and in-house supervisors. • Coordination of performance related clarifications with the Combined Cycle responsible. • Preparation of fortnightly performance reports as well as technical evaluations of the solar island. • The overall performance of the solar island compared to the annual operation plan. Requirement: Education: Degree in engineering with emphasis on thermodynamics and heat transfer. Languages: Arabic, English, preferably with German. Experience: Minimum 5 years of performance monitoring and efficiency improvement experience in power generation plants preferably with solar power plants.
